Privacy Policy

Alecsend is a software product being developed by Alecsandru Mihalcea, based in Bucharest, Romania. We are building a secure, ephemeral file transfer platform for enterprise use. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data collected through our pre-launch landing page at alecsend.com.

We collect only what you explicitly provide through our two forms:

Enterprise Waitlist: company name, work email address, your role (optional), and estimated monthly file transfer volume (optional).

Investor / Advisor Interest: full name, email address, your category (optional), and a message (optional).

We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or any form of behavioral tracking. We do not collect IP addresses, device fingerprints, or browsing history. Vercel, our hosting provider, may log basic request metadata (IP address, user agent) as part of standard infrastructure operations — this is governed by Vercel's Privacy Policy.

We use the information you submit solely to:

• Contact you when Alecsend moves toward launch or early access
• Respond to your investor or advisor inquiry directly
• Understand the level and type of demand for the product

We will never use your data for advertising, sell it to third parties, or share it with anyone outside of Alecsend. Your submission is a direct line to the founder, nothing more.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, our legal basis for processing your personal data is legitimate interest — you have voluntarily expressed interest in a product and we are processing your information for the sole purpose of following up on that interest. You may withdraw this at any time (see Section 6).

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Neon (neon.tech), a serverless Postgres provider. Data is stored in the EU region. Neon encrypts data at rest and in transit. Access to the database is restricted to the Alecsend production environment.

We do not store any passwords, payment information, or sensitive personal identifiers. The data we hold is limited to what you submitted in the form.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email contact@alecsend.com with the subject line "Data Request" and your email address. We will action your request within 7 days.

If you are in the EU and believe your rights have not been respected, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

We will retain your information for as long as is necessary to operate the waitlist and follow up with you. If Alecsend does not proceed to launch, we will delete all waitlist and investor data within 12 months of that decision. You can request deletion at any time regardless of this schedule.

We use the following infrastructure providers. No data is shared with them beyond what is technically necessary to operate the service:

• Vercel — hosting and edge delivery
• Neon — PostgreSQL database storage
• Google Fonts — Space Grotesk typeface, loaded via next/font at build time (no client-side requests to Google)

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Since we do not have a mechanism to notify you directly at this stage, we encourage you to check back if you have questions.
